User Data Deletion Instructions

Step-by-step instructions for deleting your account and WhatsApp data from MessageKro, following Meta Platform Terms.

MessageKro is a product and service operated by Clousor Technologies Private Limited (“Clousor”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). In accordance with Meta Platform Terms (Section 4.f - Data Deletion) and applicable data protection regulations, MessageKro provides clear, accessible methods for users and workspace owners to disconnect the service and permanently delete their data.

Quick Summary

You can disconnect your WhatsApp Business Account at any time from your MessageKro settings, revoke permissions via Facebook Business Integrations, or email our support team directly at hello@messagekro.com for complete data eradication within 30 days.

How to request data deletion

You can delete your data using any of the following three methods:

Method 1: Self-Service Disconnection via MessageKro Dashboard

Workspace owners can immediately disconnect their connected WhatsApp Business account:

  1. Log into your MessageKro account at https://messagekro.com.
  2. Navigate to Settings → WhatsApp.
  3. Click the Disconnect WhatsApp button.

Effect: Disconnecting immediately wipes and invalidates the stored encrypted Meta access token, halts webhook event processing, and stops template synchronization for your workspace.

Method 2: Revoke Access via Meta / Facebook Settings

You can remove MessageKro’s access directly from your Facebook or Meta Business account:

  1. Log into the Facebook account that manages your WhatsApp Business Portfolio.
  2. Go to Settings & Privacy → Settings.
  3. In the left sidebar, click Business Integrations (or visit your Meta Business Manager → Connected Apps).
  4. Locate MessageKro (App ID: 2456276221532873).
  5. Click Remove and confirm the prompt.

Effect: Meta immediately revokes all permissions granted to MessageKro.

Method 3: Direct Data Deletion Request via Email

To permanently erase all account records, contact data, message logs, and workspace assets:

  1. Send an email from your registered email address to hello@messagekro.com (or support@messagekro.com).
  2. Include the subject line: Data Deletion Request - MessageKro.
  3. Specify your Registered Email and your Workspace Name.

SLA & Confirmation: Our data protection team will verify your ownership and acknowledge receipt within 48 hours. Complete deletion of your workspace data will be finalized within 30 calendar days, after which you will receive a final confirmation notice.

What data is deleted

When an account or workspace deletion request is executed, the following categories of data are permanently deleted from our active production systems:

  • Meta WhatsApp Credentials: Encrypted access tokens, WABA IDs, phone number IDs, and webhook subscription bindings.
  • Message & Delivery Data: Inbound and outbound message bodies, delivery timestamps, status updates, and raw webhook event records.
  • Contacts & Audience Data: Contact lists, names, phone numbers, custom properties, and campaign recipient lists.
  • Templates & Campaigns: Synced template records, variable mappings, and campaign schedules.
  • Account & Workspace Profile: User credentials, display names, profile data, and team membership relationships.

Data retention exceptions

Certain operational or financial records may be temporarily retained beyond deletion where required by statutory compliance, tax obligations, dispute resolution, or fraud prevention duties under applicable law (such as the Indian Information Technology Act and GST accounting requirements). Backup snapshots are overwritten in accordance with standard rotating backup cycles (up to 30 days).
